An informational drop-in open house was held by the Town of Rolesville for the ongoing Main Street Improvement project on January 23rd, 2024. Almost 80 people dropped in to see what is coming next for their growing community. Attendees, curious about upcoming work on the Main Street Project as well as the new private Cobblestone and Wallbrook Developments had a chance to get a glimpse into the future of their town by viewing architectural renderings, and construction plans, along with posing questions to representatives of these projects.
Those wondering what their town looks like from above were greeted with RK&K drone footage showing the progression of the worksite from pre-construction, April 2023, September 2023, and current conditions. The Interim Town Manager Eric Marsh gave a small welcome address, thanked the attendees, and “passed the mic” to RK&K’s Josh Douthit, who gave an update on the progress of the Main Street Project. The currently under construction Cobblestone and Wallbrook developments also gave updates. This was then followed by a short but involved Q&A session where those in attendance were able to ask specific questions to project representatives.
The open house was hosted by Interim Town Manager Eric Marsh and Economic Director Mical McFarland and they were assisted by construction consultants on the project, RK&K. Many local figures made an appearance including Mayor Ronnie Currin, members of the Rolesville Chamber of Commerce, and local business owners. Another open house was planned for May 2024 to discuss the upcoming closure of the Main Street and Young Street intersection.
