Construction workers plan to close a small section of North Main Street from 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025. The closure will take place just north of the public parking lot at 103 North Main Street to just before Williams Street.
Drivers and shoppers will still be able to access the public parking lot at 103 North Main Street as well as enter Cobblestone Village. Residents who live in that section of North Main Street will have access to their homes.
All businesses at the intersection will remain open. The Town encourages shoppers to continue visiting those local businesses during this time. The Town is also encouraging residents to use the following detours:
- Eastbound Cobblestone Village Access and 103 North Main Street Parking Lot: Follow South Main Street to the Cobblestone Village entrance and parking lot entrance.
- Westbound Cobblestone Village Access and 103 North Main Street Parking Lot: Take a left onto Williams Street to Pulley Street. At the stop sign, turn left onto East Young Street, then turn right onto Virginia Waters Drive. At the second traffic circle, take the first exit onto Redford Place Drive. Follow Redford Place Drive to South Main Street, then take a right. Follow South Main Street until you reach the entrance to Cobblestone Village or 103 North Main Street.
- Eastbound through traffic on South Main Street: Turn right onto Redford Place Drive, then take the third exit at the second traffic circle to get onto Virginia Waters Drive going towards East Young Street. Turn left onto East Young Street, then right onto Pulley Street, then follow the left turn onto Williams Street.
- Westbound through traffic on North Main Street: Turn left onto Williams Street, then follow the road to Pulley Street. At the stop sign on Pulley Street, take a left onto East Young Street. Then turn right onto Virginia Waters Drive. At the second traffic circle on Virginia Waters Drive, take the first exit onto Redford Place Drive, and back out to South Main Street.
As a reminder, the time of the closure is subject to change depending on weather or unexpected circumstances.
