Rolesville Main Street Groundbreaking Ceremony

Mayor Ronnie Currin kicked off the ceremony by describing the history of Rolesville’s Main Street, how it was an important route to Raleigh in the past, and how this project will help bring a true downtown to the Town of Rolesville.

The Town of Rolesville held its Main Street Project’s groundbreaking ceremony on February 17th, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Despite the weather, there was a good turnout for the ceremony, including Congresswoman Deborah Ross, Senator Mary Willis Bode, Representative Terence Everitt, Wake County Commissioner Donald Mail, Thom Tillis representative, Wake County Schools, Town of Rolesville Mayor Ronnie Currin, Commissioners Michelle Medley, Dan Alston, April Sneed, Mayor Pro-tem Paul Vilga, Town Manager Kelly Arnold, Assistant Town Manager Eric Marsh, Community and Economic Development Manager Mical McFarland, Communications Specialist Lindse’ Owens, CAMPO, NCDOT, Crosland Southeast, Fred Smith Company, RK&K, Stantec, along with other individuals who worked hard to bring this project to life, those who are currently working on the project during construction, local media, and members of the community including business owners and people who call Rolesville home.

Mayor Ronnie Currin kicked off the Rolesville Main Street Groundbreaking Ceremony by describing the history of Rolesville’s Main Street, how it was an important route to Raleigh in the past, and how this project will help bring a true downtown to the Town of Rolesville. This was followed by all those involved with the project introducing themselves and stating how they felt about the importance of the project.
